Driving Directions: From South Baymouth continue north on Hwy 6 for 16 km to Hwy 542 west to Mindemoya. Turn north on Hwy 551 to West Hwy 540, continue for 24 km to Evergreen Resort.

At a total length of 365 feet and a gross weight of 6,996 tons, the Chi-Cheemaun is the largest ship of its kind in the Great Lakes. It is able to carry 143 cars and 638 passengers between Tobermory and South Baymouth, a 30-mile route, in less than two hours at an average speed of 18-miles per hour. Whether you are making the trip for a days outing or just trying to save yourself of hours of driving time, the Chi-Cheemaun can get you there comfortably and safely.

Directions for Driving From the South

When driving northbound, use Hwy 6 to the Bruce Peninsula of Lake Huron to reach Tobermory and the Chi-Cheemaun car ferry, which crosses Georgian Bay to Manitoulin at Southbay Mouth on a regular schedule. From South Baymouth continue north on Hwy 6 for 16 km to Hwy 542 west to Mindemoya. Turn north on Hwy 540 for 24 km to Evergreen Resort. We are located on Ice Lake 8 km east of Gore Bay on Hwy 540.
